Important dates and deadlines for Singapore Primary 1 registration. Plan ahead — each phase has a strict window.

2 Jul
Phase 1
Sibling Registration
For children with a sibling currently studying in the school. No balloting — guaranteed a place if eligible.
📣 Results: 8 July
✅ No ballot. Confirm sibling's enrolment before applying.
9 – 10 Jul
Phase 2A
Alumni, Staff, Kindergarten & Church/Clan
For children of alumni, MOE staff, school management committee members, children enrolled in the school's MOE Kindergarten, or parents endorsed by the school's affiliated church/clan.
📣 Results: 17 July
📋 Prepare alumni cert, employment letter, committee or church/clan endorsement letter.
20 – 21 Jul
Phase 2B
Volunteers & Community Leaders
For children of parent volunteers (min. 40 hours by 30 Jun), endorsed grassroots leaders, or endorsed active community leaders.
📣 Results: 27 July
⏱️ Volunteer hours must be logged and verified by the school before 30 Jun.
28 – 30 Jul
Phase 2C
General Public (Open Phase)
Open to all Singapore Citizens and PRs who did not register in earlier phases. Distance from home to school determines priority. Most competitive phase.
📣 Results: 11 August
🏠 1km from school = highest priority. Use our School Map to check your distance.
17 – 18 Aug
Phase 2C Supp.
Phase 2C Supplementary
Top-up round for schools with remaining vacancies after Phase 2C. Popular schools rarely have vacancies at this stage.
📣 Results: 27 August
⚠️ Most competitive schools will be full by this point.
Oct 2026
Phase 3
International Students
For non-Singapore Citizens and non-PRs. Subject to available vacancies after all SC and PR phases are completed.

Volunteer Application Window
Jan – Feb 2026. Schools open volunteer slots early — apply as soon as possible. Popular schools fill up fast.
Volunteer Hours Deadline
30 June 2026. All 40 volunteer hours must be completed and verified by the school before this date to qualify for Phase 2B.

Understanding the P1 Registration Phases

Singapore's P1 registration uses a phased system. Children with stronger school ties register first — if a school fills up early, later phases get fewer (or zero) places.
